I'm Wilde. I like making things.

about

I am I.V. Wilde. But you may call me Wilde. They/them. 28.
Unknown thing imitating a person.
I'm a lover of the surreal, spooky, and unusual, and those elements regularly make their way into my work. I do a lot of sci-fi and fantasy with horror elements. Most of my things are about sad aliens. I like coming up with all sorts of ridiculous and miserable characters.
I also make music. I love experimenting with new sounds and genres, and always have a lot of fun seeing what happens when I play with sound. I make my music under a few different project names to sort my styles since I bounce around.
Other interests outside of art include horror (I'm annoying about this one and can ramble about horror media for hours), morbid facts about nature, video games, fancy loose leaf teas, webcomics, astronomy, etymology/words, liminal spaces/weird surreal environments, and fractals.

My primary project is Sableheart, a dark fantasy webcomic with sci-fi elements. The link will be here when it's ready.

Arctos, a long dead and ill-famed Ixirian knight, is revived in his planet's spacefaring era, thousands of years after his defeat. Weary and haunted from the events that led him to where he is now, he is tasked with serving a cruel king and the Borromeans, who own his soul. The knight finds himself in a fight to regain control of his life and fate, dealing with all sorts of struggles along the way- from foes both new and old, to the challenges of navigating a world advanced beyond familiarity, and the unknown terrors that lurk in the vastness of space.

Content warnings: Depictions of violence, blood, heavy substance usage, and severe psychological distress. Themes that include trauma, death, abuse, and existential dread. Occasional strong language. Some horror elements.

music

I make music! You can listen to it on my YouTube or Bandcamp. My personal favorites out of my own work are on this playlist here!I vary up my styles and genres and love experimenting. I use a few different aliases to organize my styles more.I currently produce under three aliases:

wildenox

Wildenox
(Just Wildenox. It's just my name. There isn't even a fancy logo.)
Soundtrack
Less about style and more about intent. You'll find the echoes of all my styles here in accordance with whatever's appropriate for the thing the music's going for. But there's a bunch of more symphonic stuff here. If I'm making music and it's for one of my stories, it'll be under this alias.

Crypt PatrolElectronica with an identity crisis
My primary alias and style. The style's definitely evolved over time as it was my first name I produced music under, and it will likely continue to evolve. Often more melodic and energetic, dominated by futuristic synths and occasionally guitars.

Freneti6m
(Shortened as F6M)
Experimental / Atmospheric / IDM-ish
Has a lot of weird noises, surreal and immersive soundscapes, and hazy, dreamlike beats.
Heavy emphasis on personal expression and doing whatever I want with sound. Doesn't adhere to traditional music conventions. Sounds more incorporeal and airy.

Permissions / other infoThe answer to the question "can I use your music in [thing]" is yes 99% of the time, and I actually quite like it when I get these questions! I just have a few boundaries and rules, but it's nothing major.
If you are an independent creator you may my music in videos and animations and whatever. Just provide credit/link back to me, please. It helps me out!
You may not use my music in any content that is pornographic, promotes any form of hatred, or for drama/discourse commentary.
If you have questions or want to use it in a monetized project you can contact me by poking me on any of my socials or shooting an email. I'd just charge an affordable flat rate for this type of use.If you want to get me to compose a soundtrack for your project, you can also contact me. I'd love to get involved in a video game or something like that. I'll need some proof of concept and evidence your project's in serious production, but I'm more than open for this kind of thing and appreciate all inquiries. Poke me!Contact email: [email protected]
